Affiliate Disclosure Policy

Effective Date: 29 October 2026
Publication: The Poppy & Elderflower Magazine

Introduction

The Poppy & Elderflower Magazine believes in transparency, honesty, and openness with our readers.

This Affiliate Disclosure Policy explains how affiliate relationships work on our website and how they may affect the content we publish.

Our goal is to ensure readers can make informed decisions about the content they read and the recommendations we provide.

What Are Affiliate Links?

Some pages, articles, reviews, resources, newsletters, emails, and other content published by The Poppy & Elderflower Magazine may contain affiliate links.

Affiliate links are special tracking links provided by a third-party company, service, or retailer.

If you click an affiliate link and subsequently make a purchase or complete a qualifying action, The Poppy & Elderflower Magazine may receive a commission, referral fee, or other form of compensation.

This comes at no additional cost to you.

Why We Use Affiliate Links

Affiliate partnerships help support the ongoing operation of the publication.

Revenue generated through affiliate programmes may help fund:

Website hosting
Content creation
Editorial operations
Research and development
Subscriber resources
Publication improvements
Podcast production
Community initiatives

Affiliate income helps us continue providing free and premium content to our readers.

Our Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not determine our editorial opinions.

A product, service, company, or platform will never receive favourable coverage simply because an affiliate programme exists.

Likewise:

Participation in an affiliate programme does not guarantee coverage.
Affiliate commissions do not influence review scores.
Affiliate relationships do not guarantee positive recommendations.
Editorial decisions remain independent.

We place reader trust above affiliate revenue.

Honest Recommendations

We aim to recommend products, services, platforms, and resources that we genuinely believe may be valuable to our readers.

Recommendations are based on factors such as:

Personal experience
Research
Industry reputation
Functionality
Value
Relevance to readers

However, all purchasing decisions remain the responsibility of the reader.

We encourage readers to conduct their own research before making purchases.

Identifying Affiliate Content

Where reasonably practicable, we aim to disclose affiliate relationships within relevant content.

This may include wording such as:

This article contains affiliate links.

We may earn a commission if you purchase through links on this page.

or similar disclosures.

These notices are intended to ensure transparency and compliance with applicable advertising and consumer protection requirements.

Reviews & Affiliate Relationships

Some products or services reviewed on The Poppy & Elderflower Magazine may also be available through affiliate programmes.

However:

Reviews remain independent.
Findings are based on genuine opinions and observations.
Affiliate availability does not guarantee a recommendation.
Products may receive positive, negative, or mixed coverage regardless of affiliate status.

We believe readers deserve honest assessments rather than promotional content disguised as reviews.

Participation in any programme does not imply endorsement of every product or service offered by that organisation.

No Additional Cost To Readers

Using an affiliate link does not generally increase the price you pay.

In some cases, readers may even receive:

Discounts
Promotional offers
Special access
Bonus content

where such opportunities are made available through affiliate partners.

Reader Responsibility

While we aim to provide useful information and recommendations, readers remain responsible for their own purchasing decisions.

We cannot guarantee:

Product availability
Product performance
Pricing accuracy
Delivery times
Third-party policies
Customer service experiences

Questions regarding purchases should generally be directed to the relevant vendor or provider.
